From Ruth Meyer’s 31 Days of Praise:

I worship before You, dear Lord, as the all-wise Creator, the One who made heaven and earth and all that is in them, and saw that it was very good. I praise You for the honor of being made in Your image, personally formed by You for Your glory, and gifted spiritually just as it has pleased You. Thank You for each strength and ability and desirable trait You have given me. Surely You have been good to me, O Lord!

I think this prayer brings out something we forget to do. We forget to thank God for the honor of  being made, like Him. He could have made us into anything. We could all be 3 feet tall and green with one big eye in our head, but He chose to make us like Him.

He gives us strengths and abilities that suit us perfectly. The abilities that match our personalities.

Think about it, if you had to make a person: You’d have to choose their personality, and all the different personality types there are. Then you’d pick their strengths and weaknesses. Then their likes and dislikes. It would be hard to combine all of these things to make a person. (Actually making a person is much easier for us… haha). But to know that He went through all of the possibilities, all the possible combinations, and chose the ones that would be perfect for us. That would take us forever. Our God just does it. Amazing.

For example: God chose my husband to love peanut butter… and be married to someone who the smell of peanut butter makes them gag.

God is funny, too.

Thank Him for specifically choosing your… self.
