See! I’m doing better!
So, Lucy had another TERRIBLE Monday. I’m really not sure what it is. I don’t know if its just teething, or if it’s got something to do with being with me for 48 hours straight and then not with me for a few hours, but she just has bad Mondays.
She cried non stop for about 15 minutes. I mean, wailing.
To those of you without kids, you’re thinking… “Ok… big deal.”
To those of you with kids, you’re thinking… “Poor Lucy, Poor Mama!”
It was excruciating. Especially since I can’t tell her it’s going to be okay. She doesn’t know that stuff.
She just cried. And cried and cried. And she wouldn’t take her pacifier and she wouldn’t stop when I stood up or sat down, and she wouldn’t stop when I rocked her, or tried to feed her. Nothing stopped it. And then finally she fell asleep.
Then I went and laid her down after she slept in my arms for about 15 minutes. I thought, “surely, she’ll be out for the night.”
Then I thought I heard her. But of course I always think I hear her. Anyway, so I go check on her. Sure enough, she was screaming again.
It was different this time. She was gasping for breath. Literally she couldn’t breathe. It must have terrified her.
I picked her up and calmed her down some.
I don’t know what the deal is, but I don’t like it.
Here she is after the craziness and attack cries.
Poor baby...
I like her like this.
Well, that and this:
Little bundle!
She hasn’t been out in this weather much. But when she does get out in it – she’s wearing her Eskimo suit. She likes it. I like it.
I kinda wish I had one. Its like a sleeping bag with arms and a hood. It also smells so good. It smells like baby.
Well.. that’s about all I have to write about today.
I’m still cooking! Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup tonight! And Grilled cheese! I’m excited. It’ll be good on this coooold night.
All I can hope for is a snow day tomorrow. That would make my day just DELIGHTFUL!
