Devotional: Psalm 18

God — His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is pure. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. Psalm 18:30

I feel the winds changing. I think I may do something different for my morning blog. If you have any suggestions- please let me know.

His way is perfect.

Boy, don’t we have a hard time with that one?

When school shootings happen, when loved ones die, when bad things are going on all around the world… God is still perfect.

I can’t explain to you how those things work for good… They may not.

But honestly, if I’m serving a God I can completely 100% explain and understand… If my mind can grasp all there is to him? Then he’s not enough god.

And I can’t. I can’t prove to you he exists. I can’t prove Jesus lived. I can’t quote enough scripture, I can’t answer all your questions. I can’t.

But I can tell you that I lost everything I had as a child when my mother died, and I made it through that because of Him.

I can tell you he took care of me all through high school and college. I never partied, never been drunk, never smoked a day in my life. Only been with one man. I’d have that no other way.

I can tell you that when I get bad news I’m not scared.

I can tell you that I rest easy at night because I know it’ll work out. Everything will. Because it just will.

I can tell you I have hope and favor.

I have joy.

But I can’t prove He exists.

That’s where faith comes in.

It’s really quite simple.

You can’t prove it either. But he’s there, nonetheless, and his way is perfect even if we can’t understand it.

Remember to leave your idea for the blog! 🙂
