“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”- Philippians 4:6-7

Sorry I’m late! I had a doctor appointment this morning. Monday I went to the doctor to do my glucose test. It came back a little high, so they wanted to do another 3 hour test today. I have so far been stuck 3 times. Yay, not.

And boy, does today’s verse really hit the spot. I was terrified about coming today. I hate needles. I’ll be honest, I don’t know many people who enjoy it. So I was dreading today unlike any other. I’ve never had to be stuck more than once.

So, last night I asked my hubby to pray for me. He did; he asked for it to not hurt and for the results to be good. And… First stick wasn’t bad at all. Second one wasn’t either. I have 2 more to go and I know that the peace of God is on me and I’ll be just fine.

I’m so thankful I have a God I can trust.

Feeling GOOD!

WOW. I’m actually amazed at how good I feel. It was worth spending $28 bucks on 3 maternity shirts. I have clothes that fit and I’m happy about that. It changes my whole attitude. Anyway, off to more important things…

“…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

I’ve heard this verse a zillion times. Its just as true this morning as it was every other time I’ve heard it. Ultimately: God listens to us.

He CAN hear us. He likes to hear us. When we come to Him and ask for forgiveness for whatever it is, He does forgive.

What this verse tells us is that not only does He forgive us, He also heals us and the things around us that mean a lot to us. Back in ‘them’ days, your land was how you survived. It was your means by which everything came to you. Its where you kept everything that belonged to you, so therefore, it was important.

God knows this stuff. (He’s pretty sharp). He says that He’ll take care of it as well as you. Isn’t that comforting?

It definitely is to me.

We went to the baby doctor yesterday. I’m now on a 2 week rotation. Getting closer! Wesley and I didn’t tell anyone, but at our last appointment, our doctor noticed something about Lucy’s kidneys that wasn’t quite right. She said it normally fixed itself, no need to worry. But, this is my kid. I already love her and I’ve never met her. So we prayed and left it up to God.

We turned to Him, and asked of Him.

We went yesterday and the doctor came in and said that one kidney was perfectly normal and the other was a hair off, but was going to be perfectly normal. Thank You Jesus. It was ALL Him.

He took care of what is most important to us, because we turned to Him just like His word says.
