Homeschooling, Regular Busy-ness, and my Mistake 4.5.17 – 4.14.17l

We’ve been having fun over the past few weeks. Also, quite busy.

We had our homeschool meeting, and did some super fun projects.

My nephew came over and we all played and ran and played until everyone was a stinky kid, just how I like it.

We took a trip to the zoo with our school and had fun with friends.

I did a little painting for a friend. You’ll see this make its first appearance tonight.

I looked at Judah, and I normally just see Judah, but this day I saw his daddy too. With his long shorts on. What a cutie.

With our Easter week stuff we got so busy- nonstop all week. You can see the projects we did over on our church Facebook page.

I did wanna include this one. The kids worked hard on cards for the residents at the nursing home, and they hand delivered them. The kids were proud and I think the residents loved it.

And my mistake? This week has been so non stop- as in get up early, get school prepped, school or work, then off to a project of some sort. I didn’t run all week (so now I feel like a slob) and then I saw these and made an impulse buy!

They are my favorite candy.

And so now, I need to go running, but the robins eggs are sitting on my counter… calling me… beckoning me come. I might. And I may just run out the door.

Anyway- we’ve got a few more Easter things scheduled so I’m off to get those going.

I hope your Easter weekend goes well!

102016 – 102216: Homecoming, Camping, Family

We’ve been busier than usual this week. Which says a lot.

The kids still love Tiger.

I forced them to let Tiger pick who he wanted to sit with. And he chose to sit right in between them.

I believe we officially have his fleas gone, thanks Advantage.

And then we had Homecoming stuff. Kailey was in the parade. She wore an adorable little dress. And she’s adorable herself.

After the parade got rained out (so much rain, so many wet kids… it was funny and it wasn’t.) We all met u and ate together. Me and my brothers took a picture because we never do that. I look awful because my hair was still wet from running in the rain to my car.

I even got a picture with my nephew, Bradyn, who hates taking pictures. I had to sneak and get this one.

And then Friday was actual homecoming. So, Kailey and I took some pictures in her pretty dress. Here are some of my favorites.

A true laugh.

I really like this one of her and Nick.

And of course, I had to get one with her and my Luc.

And then homecoming was over and we all took a sigh of relief. Lucy was upset that Kailey didn’t “win” Queen and I had to explain how that worked with Kailey being a junior.

The boys took a camping trip on Friday so Lucy and I had a girls morning. Donuts!

Then we went to Sam’s and Walmart and looked around and had a good ole time. And then we made it home and got unloaded and waited for the guys. They came in and showed us all their pictures.

Didn’t realize how much I’d miss this little guy and his Daddy, too!

Papa J met all the boys and I know Judah loved that.

My little outdoorsman.

And thanks to uncle Sam for taking these. (not the government, our actual uncle Sam…) haha!

And that’s been our week. This week is set up to be MUCH slower paced, and I’ve already gotten done a lot of my grocery shopping, so I’m hoping to get a lot of school done and get caught up on housework from last week. Y’all have a good week – I’m so glad fall is finally here! (Even if it was just for this weekend!)

060216 – 060516: lazy blogger

I’m horrible! I even have a reminder on my phone to irritate me into doing blogs and I just ignore it and go about my day.

I have some excuses though.

I started back at the gym. Friends help motivate!

We’ve been playing around the house and still cleaning.

And I got Wes a late birthday/early Father’s Day gift. Even put the whole thing together myself (which took me 2.5 hours to do.) I also hand scrubbed my deck. You can see the wood again!

I’ve still been doing Michaels classes and that’s growing pretty well. I’m pleased with my students progress and I think they enjoy it as well.

And That’s about it! I haven’t been keeping my phone on me as I have been enjoying the summer with my kids. I actually don’t have that many pictures on my phone. I need to start snapping more.

Maybe I’ll post again this week!

052116 – 052516: Geez Loueez, time flies

I look up and it’s been days since I blogged! We’ve had a busy week so far- with summer being here. We cleaned our yard, and bush-hogged, and snake killed, and scrap metaled, and moved around.

Since summer is here, we decided to give the kids their combined birthday gift a little early so they could be enjoying it.

And boy have they been enjoying it. We cut them a trail through the field we just bushhogged and that’s their race track. We hear this thing going everywhere until we don’t, and then we hear “Dad! It stopped!” The battery runs down about 3 times a day.

We did some furniture swapping with family,  for the back deck. Our kids can actually sit here and eat without the risk of falling now.

I made a little brick pad for our school room door, which we will be adding too now that we got our brick laid on our house and we have tons extra!

We’ve been making the most of our hammocks.

And I got my hair did! This is before. It was starting to get… Too crunchy. Wes hates that word when in reference to my hair, but you ladies know what I’m talking about.
I had my hair stylist, the lovely Mooney, do some fancy stuff for me and now I get to play with color in my hair. First up?

Gray!

I have a sneaking suspicion it’ll get wilder as I feel different. Haha! I truly love it. And I love that I get to play in it myself again!

We were also blessed by Wesleys aunt and uncle with a new weed eater! So helpful and we are so grateful for fantastic families. We are so blessed.

Well we are off to make a brick pad and weed eat the yard! Yay summer! (Wow, I sound a lot like Olaf!)

042116 + 042216: A class and a Wedding

I taught at a homeschool group Thursday. We did a class on Jackson Pollock.

The kids got into it. And I was covered in dots.

I had Michaels class Friday, which went well. I had errands to do before class and I managed to squeeze most in. I had to get some stuff for our upcoming trip.

I got everything we needed and a little bit. I did my nails and toes. Had 2 in my class.

I’m partially through a cleanse I’m doing. I eat very little and drink a special mix of stuff during the day, and then I eat a regular balanced meal at night. I’m loving it so far. I’ve always had a screwed up stomach, and so far it’s helping.

And then we got dressed up for the wedding and that was our Friday night.

Today I’m trying to get caught up on my house from the craziness of this week…

So I slept in! (Til 7, calm down). Ok, I’m off to try and get stuff together!
