“Come. Sit down. Let’s argue this out.” This is God ’s Message: “If your sins are blood-red, they’ll be snow-white. If they’re red like crimson, they’ll be like wool. (Isaiah 1:18 MSG)
God likes playing opposites. Or, clean up rather.
Something from blood-red to snow-white. I mean.. strong bleach? Not quite.
I cleaned my bathroom with bleach the other day. Straight undiluted bleach. Needless to say, my bathrooms still smell like straight bleach.
Which is good, because bleach is clean, but it’s also bad because its still quite strong. It’s just about as strong as you can get when it comes to cleaners.
But it can’t do much for our sins. It can’t clean those.
But Jesus’ blood… it can.
Our sins are dirty and ugly and covered in mold. And Jesus’ blood is like bleach on a white countertop. It can erase them completely.
We have to let go of our sins in order to allow God to let us be clean. His son is strong enough to clean our dirtiness… but we have to let go when he starts the cleaning. Don’t hold onto the remnants of the sin. Don’t let them come up and fog your freedom.
Once you’re forgiven, you’re forgiven. Let it go. Move on. Be forgiven.
It’s taken me a while. I’m sorry. 😉
This little guy…
His hair! What a mess.
I looked back on some blogs I wrote when I was only first finding out I was pregnant with him. I wasn’t too excited.
Now? Wouldn’t change a thing.
I love that little guy so much. He makes me so very very happy.
Last night at church I did a little lesson with the 4 and unders. It turned out to be just Lucy and Mary, and of course Judah. Here’s what they learned. SO cute.
I’ve got a lunch date with some friends today, and I am excited about it! Yay for lunch dates!
I got up early this morning, got my kitchen cleaned, worked out on the Wii for a little while, and now I’m blogging.
I hear my little Lucy in her room making all sorts of noises. Happy “I-just-woke-up” noises. She likes to play in her crib for a while when she wakes up. She’s very much like her daddy, in that she needs some alone time before she’s up at at em.
I’ve got a couple of videos for you today. Both are showing how much my daughter loves The Cat in The Hat. It’s actually a TV show called, “The Cat in the Hat Knows a lot About That.” Martin short is The Cat’s voice. There is a song they sing in every episode.
“Go, go, go, go, on an adventure,
The thing-a-majigger is up and awayyy…
Go, go, go, go, on an adventure,
We’re flying with the Cat in the Hat today!”
So.. if you are wondering about a birthday gift… Dr. Seuss. Who would have known. I bought her a virtual book yesterday, and we got to read it on the iPad. She liked it. Its fun. It reads to her, or I can read, and when you press the words it says them, or if you press the pictures it’ll say what they are too. Really neat idea.
Ok, well.. I’m off to get my little stinker out of bed. I wanna give that cute little Thing-a-Majigger some SUGAR on the top of her head! (See what I did there?)
If you are coming to Eve Ministries tonight – and I suggest that you do – we are having ribs! – then you will hear more about her. She convicts me to do more.
Ok -moving on…
I posted my first project blog last night! It only cost me 3.32 + tax to do the whole thing! What a thrifty project! Project: Kitchen Pie Safe.
I’m trying to come up with more easy projects – for my house and crafty things for Lucy as well – no, I haven’t forgotten about the quiet book. I’m just trying to get my house in complete order before I start on a craft project. House projects are different.
Yesterday I did SO good. Cleaned my kitchen up after cooking, washed and PUT UP! a load of clothes. Washing them I don’t mind. Folding and putting up are what bugs me. But – only having to put up one load was much nicer than putting up… like 30 loads. Which is our normal.
I am doing better. I’m still on the upward slope. I’m doing major cleaning along side my daily maintenance.
It’s coming together though! I’m excited about it all.
I’m going to try and add a major link to my projects, on my menu.. if I can figure out how to do that again.
And not because my daughter is just the best… but mostly because her medicine made her sleepy. She fell asleep at like 7:30 and didn’t wake up until 3:30. And because of my night before and my lack of sleep – I fell asleep at 9. So I got a good 6 hours in. That was pleasant. That’s the longest I’ve slept in a LONG time. It was nice.
When she woke at 3:30 I fed her. I wouldn’t have normally, but since her last meal was at 7:30, instead of her regular 8:30 I didn’t want to make her wait an hour before she ate. That and she’s sick…
7 months sick free and all of a sudden she gets sick – and its not bad sick, just a light cold really. Thank you breastfeeding! I know that’s why she’s so healthy. I’m so glad I made that choice.
When I left this morning she already didn’t sound as bad as she did yesterday morning. We brought out the big guns: her medicine (which was a nice SIXTY-FIVE dollar surprise), humidifier, sleeping inclined, vapor bath and vicks vapor rub. All of that combined with a little mama time and I think she’ll be fine.
I remember as a kid being sick made me want my Mama more than anything in the world. And now, as a Mama.. makes me want my baby more than anything in the world. Funny how God plans that huh?
Ok – As promised – catch up on videos!
So… Each time I give Lucy a bite of food, she says, “MmMmm…” And I mean that. Every time. Even now. She does it. I don’t know if its because I had done it at first to try and get her to liking it or if she just really enjoys her food. Either way – its cute.
Lucy has now tried Sprite. And she… doesn’t like it. Maybe because its cold? Maybe the fizz? Who knows.
So far Lucy has tried Peas, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Applesause and Pears. She doesn’t like the applesauce or the pears. She made a worse face with the pears than lemon! Weird kid. She’ll only eat applesauce when I mix it with her milk and rice cereal.
She is already Little Miss Independent. I know someone who used to call me that.
And finally… Here is why we can never find our baby.
